Another cracking sail at Cooden and nice to see a crowd there and lots of
familiar faces. Arrived at about 2pm to what I thought was 5.7 weather.
From the moment I launched it was the very top end of that and it wasn't
long before I changed down to a 5m, which was much better. Wind was mainly
cross shore, but made a few gentle switches to cross off and sometimes
cross on. It kept building as the rain approached and a lot of people
called it a day at about 4pm. I hung on a little longer and enjoyed the
angle on the ramps when the wind started to shift offshore. Then the rain
came in quite hard as Mike arrived and rigged, so he had a test run and I
had my last run and both of us decided that it was about to switch off so
had the good sense to head in and get rained on while we de-rigged.
